About our charity

Age UK Kensington & Chelsea is a local charity working at the heart of the community to ensure that older people’s voices are heard, their needs are met and their independence is supported. We provide a wide range of services to older people including homecare, IT coaching, volunteer escorts and befrienders, de-cluttering, information and advice and support for people with dementia.

The charity was set up in 1973 (previously known as Age Concern Kensington & Chelsea) and incorporated as a charitable company in 2000. Reflecting the changing nature of the charity and the needs of older people over the years. In its modern form, Age Concern Kensington and Chelsea is the blending of two well respected local charities, Age Concern Kensington and Chelsea and Sixty Plus which came together following a merger in April 2009.

We understand the importance of working in close collaboration with other voluntary and statutory organisations to guarantee the effectiveness of services for older people locally and actively seek opportunities to improve services. Our current collaborations include advice sessions for Notting Hil Housing tenants, at Health Centres across the Borough and advice sessions aimed at older Morroccan men in partnership with This link will open in new windowAl-Hasaniya.
